Explore a Creative Career with Columbia College Hollywood

Our Visual Effects program is offered in person and online, and either option presents a unique opportunity to build a creative career. You’ll be able to learn from industry professionals and put together a portfolio without having to uproot your life for your studies.

During the program, which is 4 years and 192 credit hours, you will:

Collaborate with others and develop contemporary skills for use in television, movies, games, and interactive media
Learn from faculty mentors, who are also working professionals
Use professional, high-end software, including: Maya, Zbrush, Cinema4D and Houdini
Build a portfolio of original works to showcase what you’ve learned

After graduation, you’ll have a portfolio full of stunning characters, creatures, and visual effects you’ve created. You will also have full access to all resources available to students at Columbia College Hollywood, including our Career Services office.

WHERE YOU CAN WORK
Graduates of the program are qualified for a great many positions working in film and television. Example careers include VFX Supervisor, Motion Graphics Artist, Compositor, Animator, and more.
